Body of Another Two Year Old Girl Found Floating On a Well

Just one day after the body of a two year old boy was found floating on a dam in Upper Kadawa village, Kowidi location, Kabondo Kasipul constituency, a body of another two year old girl has been found floating on a well in Kanyagilo village, Kachuanya sub-location, Ndhiwa constituency.

The body of the girl identified as Sharon Achieng was found floating in the dam by a 13 year old girl who went to fetch water from that particular well.

According to Kachwanya sub-location assistant chief Nancy Atieno Ogongo, the girl’s body was found at the well just few moments after the mother left her with their neighbours as she went to the farm.

Nancy says that it seems like the girl slid and fell into the well as she tried to follow her mother. She went ahead to urge parents to look after their children keenly moreso during these rainy seasons as a way of avoiding such accidents.

The girl’s body was removed from the well and handed over to her family to plan her burial as police continue with investigations over her death.
