FALSE: WHEN YOU HAVE MALARIA, YOU ARE LIKELY TO HAVE COVID-19
There have been claims that if you have malaria then you might have covid 19 as well. This is because some symptoms are the same.
Lake Region in the recent past has been on the spot on the high numbers of Covid 19 patients and it is being related to Malaria noting that the region is also prone to Malaria and the signs and symptoms being shown by the Covid 19 are so close to that of malaria.
The Region mostly Kisumu has been hit by Indian Covid Variants that is complicated with the renowned Covid Symptoms. Professor Kama Rogo in a radio Talk Show at Sky FM pointed out that the current Covid 19 disease mostly with the Indian Variant has come up with a different strength, signs and symptoms as it can be spread very fast within the community.
However, health workers has been checking the common signs which includes, fever, running nose or flue, fatigue among more which in most occasions are related to Malaria Symptoms and therefore Prof. Rogo said that it’s true those signs are related to Malaria as it’s comprises of flue, high temperatures and some headache however Covid 19 is coming up with different ways but the best thing is to go for the Covid test.
The fact is that there is no relations between Covid 19 and Malaria even if the two diseases at times are exhibiting the same symptoms thus when one is feeling sick and is suspecting that he’s suffering from Malaria then the best thing to do is to have both tests which is for the Covid 19 and Malaria to ascertain the kind of problem that is as per Prof. Rogo.
