Man Shot Dead

Police in Homa-Bay County have launched investigations into the murder of a 32-year-old man who was shot dead by unknown people at Maguje village, KanyachKachar Location in Homa Bay Sub County last night.

The deceased Walter Kwama was killed at their home at about 10Pm last evening by two armed assailants in police uniform and they were purporting to be police officers.

According to chief of Kanyach Kachar Location Bernard Omuga , the deceased was shot dead in his house where he had gone few minutes later after taking super together with his parents.

Mr. Omuga says that the suspects ordered Kwama’s mother to open the door and asked the whereabouts of the deceased and in the event of the conversion Kwama woke up from his house to inquire about those who were talking to his mother but the suspects shot dead after asking him brief questions. .

Homa-Bay Sub-county Deputy Police Commander James Muga who confirmed the incident says that the deceased was shot twice on the chest by the suspects and disappeared to an unknown area.

Mugo further discloses that the scene was processed and the deceased body was moved to Homa Bay County Referral Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
