RESIDENTS COMPLAIN OVER STADIUM CONSTRUCTION

Residents of Nyahera in Kisumu North ward Kisumu county has come out to reject the construction of Ogada stadium as they say that the contractor hasn’t been doing the work to the standards that were drafted in the plan.
Naphtali Ogola who is one of the residents cursed the work that is going on there as he said it’s just a scheme of squandering public funds. He went ahead to urge Governor Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o to ensure that his juniors do good job to ensure proper use of public funds.
According to the Kisumu North ward PMC Henry Sigu, the contractor didn’t really know what he ought to have done, something that has made his to do substandard job.
Kisumu North MCA Samuel Dede has maintained that the contractor will not be paid until he does the job to the standard that was on the contract he signed with the county government.
On his side, the contractor says that due to adverse conditions, he was forced to leave the contract for good.
