The County government of Homabay have been requested to reduce the taxes and levies that they collect from traders as a way of helping the lives of those traders who are currently undergoing hard times due to Covid-19 which has negatively affected trade in the county.
Such a request has been presented by the county’s senator Moses Kajwang’ who urged Governor Cyprian Awiti to hear the plea and reduce the high levies collected from the traders since business is nolonger the same since Covid-19 struck.
Speaking at Tom Mboya University College in Homabay town, Kajwang’ said that life is nolonger the same and Kenyans are struggling to put food on the table and it’s therefore important that the Governer heeds to the plea.
