Different farmers in Kisumu County have received Ksh. 65.6 million from Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture in conjunction with Kisumu County Government. The funds are expected to boost agriculture in the county and ensure that farmers get profit from their activities.
Kisumu county Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o has urged his residents to embress livestock and chicken rearing while the CECM of Agriculture Gilchrist Okuom said that since the project was started in the county, farmers have had drastic change in their lives.
Some of the farmers also gave their testimonies on how the project has helped their activities and lives at large since it was started. “through funds recived from the project, we have been able to purchase several advanced machines to facilitate moreso sorghum farming” said one of them.
