SCHOOL GIRLS DRINK TO UNCONSCIOUSNESS

Two school girls aged 14 and 15 years were found unconscious by the roadside in Kuria West sub-county after drinking too much alcohol. Confirming the incident, Kuria West police commander Clearty Kimahio said that after getting from the locals who had found the girls drunk and unconscious by the roadside, they hurried to the scene and rushed them to the hospital where they were assisted.

Kimahio said that after being treated and regaining consciousness, the girls have been detained at Kehancha police station as they wait for their parents to go and pick them.

He passed a warning to alcohol sellers in the area who still allow children under 18 years to get into bars as he promised to take a stern action against the bar owner where the children got drunk and also search for the youths who were in their company.

The girls who were studying in a primary school in Kisindi Suna East Sub-county told Sky FM that they went to visit their male friend in Kuria and the boy took them to a bar.
