Farmers in South-West Kano irrigation scheme have been urged to plant different crops other than rice so as to boost their income. This is a concern that has been put across by Engineer Christopher Amollo who also requested the National Irrigation Authority to open up the water sources that have been blocked in the rice plantations.

On his side, Hon. Julius Hongo is crying out for the theft of transformers which have increased in Kabonyo area as up to now, Kanyagwal Dispensary have no electricity due to this kind of theft.
