Duo To Serve 25 Year Sentence For Murder

Two individuals were sentenced to 25 years in jail yesterday by the Siaya Law Courts after being proven guilty of murder. They are said to have committed the offence on 20th February 2020 in Uradi Kalkada area at a chang’aa den.

Fredrick Omondi and Justine Adula were found guilty of killing Peter Andari before Justice Roseline Aburili at the Siaya Law Courts and sentenced for 25 years in jail each.

According to a witness in the case, the deceased was in a group of three people who were trying to get money through shortcut, an act that led to his death. The witness went ahead to explain that the deceased and two others were taking alcohol, before one of them who is also one of those sentenced to jail offered to buy alcohol for everyone at the premise. At that time, the deceased Andari told the others that he had Ksh. 700,000 that he obtained after selling his piece of land. The guys who have now been jailed took the money from him and stabbed him to death.

Postmortem report indicated that the late Andari died due to high loss of blood from the several knife wounds.
