Life Imprisonment For Defiling Minor

A 35 year old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment by Siaya Law Courts for defiling a four year old girl.

The man identified as Simon Oduor Oloo is said to have committed the offence in November 2019 in Malaga village, Gem Sub-County.

According to evidence tabled before the court, on 18th November 2019, Simon lured the girl by buying a mandazi and bananas for her and told her to get into his house and get on the bed before he defiled her.

According to one of the witnesses, the child told her fellows the story as they were playing as she said that after the incident, the suspect warned her not to tell anyone. This prompted the witness to tell the child’s mother who in turn reported to Yala police station. The child was taken to hospital and the doctor’s report indicated that the girl was indeed raped.

The child’s mother Violet Atieno told the court that her child explained to her that the suspect lured her with bananas, as she urged the court to jail the man since letting him free will make him continue with his uncouth behaviors.

When he appeared before Lady Justice Muthoni Mwangi, it was confirmed that the guy has a tendency of committing such crimes and jailing him will lead as an example to others who have such habits.
