Luo Nyanza residents who haven’t registered as voters have been urged to take advantage of the second phase of voter registration to do so. The second phase of voter registration starts today 17th January and will go on till 6th February.

This is a request that has been put across by Uzima University lecturer Joseph Omulo, who is also eyeing the Muhoroni parliamentary seat. Omulo said that he has put up strategies to ensure that all Uzima University students who haven’t registered as voters get registered, and they will also ensure that IEBC officials will walk around Muhoroni to ensure many people register as voters.

He finished by stating that having many people registered as voters will help ODM leader Raila Odinga in his quest to be the fifth president of the country. He therefore urged all Nyanza leaders to come together in pushing for more people to register as voters without looking at their differences.
