Truth Behind Photo of Pastor Mackenzie Wearing ODM Branded T-Shirt
Written by admin on May 9, 2023
Photo of controversial Pastor Paul Mackenzie wearing an ODM Party branded t-shirt has been altered.
The fake photo was first posted on April 25 by Lord Godwin Barasa on Facebook. He claimed that the embattled pastor had asked Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to save him from political persecution.
“If indeed Pastor Paul Mackenzie believes in the true Living God, why is he openly calling on ODM leader Raila Odinga to intervene and save him from what he terms as “political persecution” due to his relationship with him? To make matters worse, he said that while in court? Aiii!,” he captioned.
A Google reverse image search by Sky 106.1 FM found out a similar photo of Mackenzie taken by Nation Africa during an interview with the televangelist on March 24, 2023 in Kilifi. The original photo show Mackenzie’s t-shirt branded “Times TV”and not ODM as alleged.
A keyword search on Google also established that there is no credible media house that reported Mackenzie making an appeal to Raila.
Pastor Mackenzie has been in the spot in the past few weeks after he allegedly asked his followers to starve to death so that they can meet Jesus. According to police reports, more than 110 bodies have been exhumed from his Shakahola farm in Kilifi County. The police have also stated that there could more bodies after they identified new graves in the farm.
