Oruba residents in Suna-West sub-county in Migori county have come out to demand explanation from Suna West police why three Tanzanian residents who were arrested in the area with a school girl and taken to the police station were later left free without being arrained in court and charged for defilement.
Led by Oruba Siany village elder Peter Mange, the residents say that they were really surprised to see those Tanzanians walking scot free without the residents knowing why they were left free despite the crime they committed. They urged their MP Hon. Peter Masara to look into the matter and find out why the police did that.
They said that they are suspecting the police took a bribe from the suspects and they promised to take action on their own since they cannot allow those foreigners to destroy the lives of their children.
