NEW TRICK FOR SNEAKING DRUGS IN PRISONS

Prison wardens and police officers working in different correctional facilities across the country have been urged to be more keen since inmates have devised new ways of sneaking prohibited goods including drugs into the facilities.
This comes after officers confiscated bread pierced with roles of cigarretes at an unidentified facility and they are believed to have intended to be used by inmates at the facility.
This has raised the belief that some prison officers are trailing against the law and engaging in selling of drugs to the inmates since prisoners are not allowed to go to the shop and buy such items. Some years back in 2014, a prison officer at GK Manyani Maximum Prison was found with a consignment of bhang at the facility.
According to the prisons act, inmates are not allowed to posses drugs, electronic gadgets and even food from outside the institutions.
