The Migori Interfaith Council has urged politicians to campaign peacefully. Speaking to journalists in Migori town under an initiative named ‘Peace Net’ led by Pastor Charles Otigo, the clergy said that they want politicians to campaign very peacefully and ensure that voting will also be done peacefully.
They also urged the youths in Migori not to accept being used by politicians as it has been witnessed previously. They urged them to concentrate on development issues and not being used to bring violence during elections.
They finally urged Migori residents to register as voters without waiting for last minute rush, as they said that Migori County is still lagging behind compared to other counties in the voter registration process.
