Investigations Launched Into The Attack of A Student In Migori County

Police in Awendo sub-county are investigating an incident where an unknown suspect attacked and slashed a form three student in Onoka village. The boy who is a student at Komolorume secondary school was attacked after seeing the suspect walking with three sheep on Sunday night.
Confirming the incident, Central Sakwa location chief Mary Okwany said that the student had gone outside the house at around 1am after hearing footsteps outside. When he got out, he saw a man with three sheep which he assumed had been stolen, something that prompted him to draw nearer and ask the man where he was coming from with the sheep. Instead of receiving an answer, the suspect removed his panga and slashed him.
Chief Mary confirmed that the boy was rushed to Migori County Referral Hospital, whereas the suspect disappeared into a sugarcane plantation leaving the sheep he was having. The sheep were handed over to the village elder as investigations are underway.
