Police in Nyatike sub-county are investigating an incident where thieves broke into Sidika Primary School on Monday night.
Confirming the incident, the area chief Samuel Kasam said that they received reports from the school guard and they rushed to the school but on reaching there, they found the thieves had broken the main door and stole the tablets and other items.
He said that till now, they have not yet confirmed the exact number of tablets that were stolen since the headteacher hasn’t been around, though they expect to get the exact number once the headteacher is back.
He went ahead to condemn such acts, as he urged Migori residents to always be cautious and report to the police whenever they see anybody selling those tablets. He said that the guard who was on duty at that time was already questioned by the police concerning the same.
