Fake News: Kenya Airport Authority Is Not Hiring 2600 People
Written by Odhiambo Shem on April 12, 2023
A poster that has been doing rounds on social media claiming that Kenya Airport Authority (KAA) has announced 2,600 vacancies is false.
The fake poster claimed that there are permanent and pensionable vacancies within the Authority.
Some of the jobs include; Market Executives, Grounds Persons, Security Officers, Ticketing Instructors, Cargo Load Controllers Front Office Managers, Motor Technicians and Record Keepers.
Others are; Climate Advisors, IT Technicians, and Clearance, Forwarding personnel, painters, Tea Girls, Data Entry Clerks, and Social Workers among others.
KAA in a statement on their twitter handle warned Kenyans that the poster is fake and is aimed at misleading Kenyans.
“Kindly disregard any job postings that are not shared from our official social media pages or website. “Do not be conned!” KAA warned Kenyans.
This is not the first time KAA has flagged job announcements as fake. In November 2022 another hoax poster made rounds on social media claiming that the authority has announced multiple vacancies.
